Our community programs undertake to deliver a wide range of rugby projects, including rugby camps. The main aim of which is to support grassroots development, encouraging all people to play and enjoy the game. This is achieved through rugby camps, taster sessions in schools and helping all clubs, colleges, Universities and teams with developing their coaching programs through delivering coaching clinics run by qualified and certified coaches from the Seattle Saracens.
Developed and designed by our team of qualified coaches using the most up to date techniques, our rugby camps aim to offer young people the best possible experience and insight into the modern-day game.
The key focus for the Seattle Saracens community team is on encouraging and inspiring young players to become the best they can be and to reach their full potential. The camps are supported by our elite players and coaching staff, (subject to training and playing commitments), who will use their experiences to pass on top tips and training techniques.
Seattle Saracens at Arizona State University
Seattle Saracen's were invited to Arizona State University for a day of coaching. Former Director of Rugby, Justin Fitzpatrick, spent the day putting the forwards through their paces whilst club President, Kevin Flynn worked with the backs throughout the day. Both were very impressed with the young talent ASU has at their disposal.
A great day was had by all and it was good to see a young face that has come from the Pacific Northwest in the team at ASU in Will Brennan, whom Coach Flynn has known since he was a young boy.
We hope to strengthen ties with ASU and hope to see some of those players come and wear Seattle Saracen colors in the future.
Seattle Rugby alum and now Bozeman Cutthroats Coach, Will Bass, invited the Seattle Saracens to hold a weekend rugby camp.
Seattle Saracens former Head Coach Justin Fitzpatrick, Seattle Saracens President and backs coach Kevin Flynn and Joe Rissone, assistant coach for the Seattle Saracen's rugby club flew out to coach the Men’s Cutthroats team and on Sunday 11th coach the Montana State men's team in the morning and the women in the afternoon of MSU.
Seattle has a rich history of players coming from Montana and the Saracen's wanted to rekindle that link. With Bozeman Cutthroats becoming a partner club of the Saracens that light has been rekindled and we hope to be able to help each other’s programs moving forward.
