Liz Kirk, the women’s forwards coach since 2000, has been a member of the Seattle club, in all of its iterations, since 1992.
Her prior experience was in Albany, NY and Portland, OR. Liz played every front row position throughout her career in Seattle and captained the side several times.
As a prop, she earned 23 caps for the US between 1996 and 2003. Liz competed in the 1998 World Cup, in which the US placed second to New Zealand, and in the 2002 World Cup. From 2000-2005, Liz was a player/coach for the Seattle club, and for the West Coast Rep Side, the Grizzlies, from 2000-2003.
She also served as the forwards coach for the US U23 Women’s National Team from 2002-2005 with tours to England and New Zealand, and as a front row technical coach for the US Women’s National Team from 2004-2006. In 2017, Liz was the scrum coach for the US Women’s National Team when they placed 4th in the World Cup.
Outside of rugby, Liz is the Associate Director of the Nutritional Sciences Program at the University of Washington.
